The FOT-300 is the most optimised OLTS on the market, combining a source port and a power meter. It transmits with a wavelength-identification digital encrypted protocol, so that any compatible unit—such as another FOT-300 Optical Loss Test Set—can automatically use the proper calibration parameters. This reduces the need for communication between the two technicians and decreases the potential for error. Distant Referencing Signal encrypting can also give the receiving end information on the power to be used as reference, helping ensure efficient referencing, even when the two units are far apart.
Part of EXFO’s 600 handheld series, the FLS-600 Light Source with the FPM-600 is designed for first-class testing. What’s more, you can save time by building a list of your “favorite” wavelengths and only sweeping through these wavelengths when testing. Automatic Wavelength Switching Using the FLS-600 in Auto-Switching mode allows to automatically toggle between available wavelengths. When using this source with the FPM-600 power meter. The highly versatile FPM-600 Power Meter is the ideal tool for link and system qualification. Thanks to its memory capacity of 1000 data items and converter software, it facilitates data management and enables data transfer to a PC via USB connection. The FPM-600 features a green/red LED indicator that gives you a pass or fail test verdict according to the thresholds you have defined. A range of interchangeable adaptors are available to suit the connector configuration you require.
The FOT-600 Optical Loss Test Set is the ideal tool for network-link qualification. Designed for first-class ease of use, the FOT-600 features a pass/fail LED indicator; what’s more, it lets you set your own thresholds for absolute or relative loss measurements. Thanks to its memory capacity of 1000 data items and its built-in reporting software, the FOT-600 facilitates data management and enables data transfer to a PC via USB connection. Create and customize a complete test report, including certification of the link with pass/fail information.
FiberBasix 50 Handheld Testers deliver simple, accurate measurement of signal attenuation during fiber-optic cable installation. Buy the ELS-50 Light Source or EPM-50 Power Meter individually, or choose from five test kits designed for specific users/testing needs: LAN, outside plant, contractors, FTTH and CATV.
Testing MPO and MTP connectorized links can be tricky when using legacy processes and equipment, that’s why we’ve come up with a versatile, scalable and automated solution to meet today’s network challenges. Faster-than-ever testing Automate test sequences with a push of a button thanks to the intelligent multifiber algorithm (iMF) feature. Versatile solution Test, certify, and troubleshoot single-fiber and multifiber with the same equipment set.
To provide the right speeds to the right customers, communications service providers (CSPs) are deploying next-gen and legacy passive optical network (PON) technologies by overlaying multiple new wavelengths on existing fibers. This brings new challenges for quick and accurate testing during the critical service activation phase: CSPs need power meters capable of testing next-gen and legacy PON technologies, and their field teams need to be sure they are correctly testing the right technology. The PPM-350D was designed to tackle both challenges head-on with its unique PON-aware™ technology. Developed in partnership with a Tier 1 CSP, the PPM-350D PON Power Meter automatically detects and adapts test parameters for the PON technology in use at the customer premises, eliminating costly guesswork by field technicians. As a result, service providers can deploy faster, cut activation costs and boost customer satisfaction.
The MPC-100 is an innovative optical power checker enabling smart device connectivity via Bluetooth®. Paired with the FIP-425B or FIP-435B Wi-Fi inspection probes, this easy-to-use power checker lets you take full advantage of smart device connectivity. You can manage all your results in one place and lower the cost of ownership by utilizing your smart device to its full potential.
Verify optical links in seconds and automatically explore further when potential issues are suspected. Accelerate fibre deployments, simplify activation procedures and improve robustness of repairs for better QoS and MTTR. NEW CATEGORY OF TESTER TO TAKE ON THE CHALLENGES AHEAD Keeping up with the accelerating pace of fibre deployments implies a major transformation in the way testing is approached. Optical Xplorer™ has been designed from the ground up to tackle the challenges ahead and simplify testing. Optical Xplorer allows streamlined procedures that reduce delays and escalation costs on the field while freeing up expert technicians to focus on more relevant tasks. Optical Xplorer is the industry’s first optical fibre multimeter (OFM), a new purpose-built category of tools empowering frontline techs to effectively carry out installation, activation and repair operations. Optical Xplorer speeds up link health verification with embedded fault tracking — all in one single-ended test that’s quick and easy.
