Units 301, 302 and 307 cover Safe Working Practises, Telecoms Fundamentals, and Fibre Fault Finding & Diagnostics. The course aims to provide learners with knowledge of the safe practises and underpinning knowledge required to progress in varying job roles within the industry, and the fault-finding methodologies and processes involved when determining faults on a communications network.
Upon completion, successful candidates will receive the Level 3 Award in Communications Cabling. The 3668-03 qualification provides eligibility for the ECS Network Infrastructure Installer (Level 3) card.
This course is ideal for existing network cabling professionals, due to the knowledge needed to successfully complete the course. It is aimed at those looking to increase their promotional prospects, as well as those already working in supervisory and management roles who want to prove their professionalism.
The qualification also provides progression for delegates who have already completed the City and Guilds 3668-02 Fibre Optic Installation and Testing course. The concepts will be relevant to both wired and wireless components of data and telecommunications networks. Student’s will explore issues such as enterprise cabling and telecoms utilities.
Unit 307 This unit aims to provide learners with an understanding of the fault-finding tools and processes involved when determining faults on a communications network. Students will apply this understanding by demonstrating the appropriate use and selection of tools when undertaking troubleshooting of faults on a network.
Our 3668-03 course will be delivered in-house at our training facility in Melksham, Wiltshire.
