Fibre Network Monitoring

OTDRs are commonly known to network operators as portable units, but these are also integrated in rack-mount equipment along with optical switch and controller units. These are used to perform on-demand troubleshooting of any fibre connecting to the equipment, whether it transports live traffic or not, and whether it is connected permanently or temporarily. Routine maintenance tests can therefore be scheduled and automated to dramatically simplify this process.
