The VIAVI OneExpert Fiber ONX-700 brings Ethernet, PON and WiFi 7 service validation together in one rugged, easy-to-use platform. Designed for residential and enterprise environments, it can verify multi-gigabit throughput at speeds of up to 10 Gbps across electrical Ethernet, optical Ethernet, GPON, XGS-PON and WiFi connections.

Automated OneCheck workflows guide technicians through standardised test procedures and provide clear pass/fail results, helping to improve consistency, reduce training requirements and minimise repeat visits. Throughput testing options include Speedcheck, TrueSpeed, Ookla Speedtest and iPerf, giving users the flexibility to validate service performance against different network and customer requirements.

For PON service activation, the ONX-700 supports PON emulation using VIAVI GPON and XGS-PON SFPs, allowing technicians to confirm network performance before an ONT or customer premises equipment is installed. Integrated TruePON functionality verifies optical power, total optical loss, PON-ID, OLT connectivity and ODN class, while the dedicated optical power port measures coexistent wavelengths for accurate service validation.

The platform also includes WiFi 7 testing across the 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz bands. OneCheck WiFi records signal strength, channel, protocol and throughput room by room, helping technicians assess router coverage and identify where mesh systems or repeaters may be required.

Additional capabilities include a built-in visual fault locator and support for VIAVI fibre inspection probes with automatic results analysis. Test Process Automation and StrataSync connectivity enable step-by-step workflows, geo-tagged result uploads, centralised reporting and improved visibility across field teams.
