Industry’s smallest and most comprehensive fronthaul test solution.
Leveraging the powerful and intelligent FTB-1 Pro handheld test platform, the FTB-700G V2 Series is an all-in-one test solution which combines connector endface inspection, fiber characterization testing, CPRI link validation, BBU emulation, RF spectrum analysis over CPRI and up to 10G Ethernet and SONET service validation, into a single module for unmatched operational efficiency.
The FTB-700G V2 integrates all testing functionalities required to effectively activate, validate, troubleshoot and maintain fixed and mobile networks including: centralized RAN (C-RAN), distributed antenna system (DAS), small cells, fiber-to-the-X (FTTx), fronthaul, backhaul and data center networks.
Optimised for Multimode and Singlemode access network testing
The FTBx-735C has been designed to test FTTH/PON networks and longer links in the metro range. This OTDR has 42 dB of dynamic range to test up to 150 km of optical fiber. The PON-optimized performances of the FTBx-735C enable it to fully characterize links up to a 1:128 FTTH/PON splitter ratio.
With its high dynamic range, the FTBx-735C empowers technicians to test optical fibers with greater speed and accuracy.
The FTBx-735C advantage
The industry’s highest resolution for PON testing and the shortest PON dead zone to detect more problems closer to the splitter.
High resolution for maximum fiber characterization on long links up to 150 km. Ideal to support bidirectional testing.
This series includes one CWDM tunable OTDR module to cover all 18 CWDM channels from a single port and one DWDM tunable OTDR module to cover DWDM C-Band channels. This solution is available in the FTB-1 V2, FTB-2 and FTB-4 platforms.
The 740C xWDM OTDR series has been designed with EXFO’s renowned high-quality standards to stabilize central wavelength under test, preventing any drift/leakage into adjacent channels, which would otherwise affect other valuable customers.
This OTDR is a scalable solution that can grow with your network by adding channels further down the road, hence allowing CAPEX reduction while covering your current and future needs.
The OTDR’s user-friendly interface lets the technician define a list of favorite channels over the C-Band (DWDM) or CWDM grid (CWDM) for quicker access and a more efficient test routine.
CWDM and DWDM: the answer to future bandwidth growth
CWDM and DWDM are gaining popularity for passive C-RAN or commercial services deployments such as fiber deep, Remote PHY and metro Ethernet in which each wavelength can address a specific site, such as a cell tower. Both CWDM and DWDM approaches are not mutually exclusive and co-exist in hybrid passive networks that feature DWDM over CWDM to maximize fiber capacity.
Use a xWDM tunable OTDR for:
Single-ended CWDM/DWDM fiber characterization,
Validating the continuity and end-to-end loss through MUX, OADM and DEMUX, during construction,
In-service testing using the client’s wavelengths port—without any downtime or impacting other client wavelengths,
Troubleshooting and characterization by a single operator from the head-end
The FTBx-750C is an OTDR with a high dynamic range of 46 dB and is designed to characterize metro and long-haul networks.
With its industry-leading level of resolution, the FTBx-750C is ideal to test long links and perform bidirectional measurements on transmission cables for highly accurate fiber characterization.
The FTBx-750C advantage
Most efficient testing solution for long-haul cable characterization
Maximum fault-finding capability and powerful bidirectional measuring ability with the iOLM
Compact platform for ease of use in the field
The FTB-7600E OTDR: for powerful ultra-long-haul testing
When distance is an issue, the FTB-7600E OTDR, with a dynamic range of up to 50.5 dB, is the solution. Taking full advantage of EXFO’s industry-leading expertise in OTDR development, this module can test over distances of up to 200 km.
Thanks to its unmatched linearity of ±0.03 dB/dB, this OTDR accurately locates faults on ultra-long links—without compromising on resolution and distance. It is offered in single and dual wavelength configurations (1310/1550/1625 nm).
This combination of quality and power makes the FTB-7600E an excellent choice for companies deploying and maintaining ultra-long-haul networks.
What it does, how it works
iOLM is an innovative OTDR-based application that uses multipulse acquisitions and advanced algorithms to deliver information on every element in the link with the following advantages:
Provides one-touch, automatic analysis and clear link view display
Minimizes training and avoids misconfiguration via automatic parameter settings and clear go/no-go results
Turns complex OTDR information into simple and accurate analysis via Link-Aware™ technology
Identifies each event on the network and obtains straightforward fiber link status via Optical Link View
Provides prompt diagnosis enabling network issues to be fixed quickly and efficiently
Generates OTDR trace files (.sor)
Dynamic multipulse acquisition
Adjusts test parameters dynamically for ANY link under test using a mix of short, medium and long pulses.
Intelligent trace analysis
Based on the multiple acquisitions and with the help of advanced algorithms, iOLM can detect more events with maximum resolution.
All results in a single view
Results are displayed in an icon-based fiber-link view to quickly assess an event's pass/fail status per standard selected, removing risk of misinterpretation.
Delivers an analysis of failed events and suggests solutions; guides the technicians in fixing the fault quickly and successfully.
